Entry Routes

There are various routes into CA training depending on your current qualifications.

UK university students

The majority of ICAS students come into CA training through the graduate entry route. Students are recruited straight from university, with a wide variety of degrees ranging from history, languages, to science, law or accountancy. Further information for UK University students can be found here .

School pupils

There are two main routes into CA training - the University Route and the Vocational Route. Click here for further information about the routes into CA training.

Overseas graduates

To apply for CA training students will need an overseas qualification which is equivalent to a UK degree. Further information for overseas students can be found here.

ICAS accredited degrees

If you have an ICAS accredited degree you could be eligible for up five exemptions at the Test of Competence stage. Further information about degrees in accountancy from universities which have been accredited by ICAS can be found here .

The Ernst & Young degree

ICAS, in partnership with Ernst & Young and the Lancaster University Management School has co-developed an exciting, relevant and rigorous degree programme which offers undergraduates an unrivalled opportunity to fast track their CA qualification after graduation.
