Aileen Beattie Memorial Lecture

Aileen’s contribution to technical development, both nationally and internationally, was highly acclaimed.

She was heavily involved in many publications that have influenced the accounting profession – 'Making Corporate Reports Valuable', 'Auditing into the 21st Century' and 'Taking Ethics to Heart'. She also initiated and co-ordinated the 2005/2006 Principles not Rules project at the Institute.


Memorial Event 2010

The invitation only event was held at Stationers’ Hall, London on 28 April 2010.

This year’s theme for discussion was “Should Statutory Audit be dropped and Assurance needs left to the Market?”, and we were delighted to welcome the following panellists to contribute their perspectives and participate in discussion:
